THE MARLBOROUGH EXPERIENCE TOUR FROM PICTON
The Marlborough Experience Tour from Picton is a 7 hour wine and food experience from Picton showcasing the best of Marlborough's scenery, gourmet food and world-class wine. Starting the day from your Picton accommodation you will travel south past Blenheim into the heart of the Marlborough wine region - the Wairau Valley.
You may know that around three-quarters of Marlborough's wine production is our famous Sauvignon Blanc which put us on the world wine map back in the 1970's however we will also taste a range of other varieties from exquisite Pinot Noir to intense Chardonnay, vivacious aromatics and some stunning méthode traditionelle and Rosé styles.
Your day will include tastings at five of Marlborough's leading wineries and a light afternoon cheese platter.
A lunch break is taken at 1pm for 90 minutes (at your own expense). Vines Village is a popular option with a cafe, wine and gin tasting and a range of specialty shops. You are welcome to make your own restaurant reservation (recommended for most winery restaurants) or your driver can offer suggestions on the day. To align with our other reservations please book for 1pm and specify you only have 90 minutes.
